1930s: Mercedes SLK Count Trossi

The Mercedes-Benz SSKs (Super Sport Kurz or ‘Short’), designed by Ferdinand Porsche, had a top speed of 115mph and was the first car designed for both road and race. 

This vehicle was bought by Italian racing driver Count Carlo Felice Trossi in 1933.
