c. 1910: Christina Broom’s Suffragette photography

Scottish Photographer Christina Broom (1862 –1939) was a Scottish photographer and has been described as Britain’s first woman press photographer. Official photographer to the Household Division from 1904 to 1939, she photographed the Suffragette movement extensively. She may, though, have done so to document the movement - her own sympathies remain unknown.
