1902: “Women of the Future”
Written By Wolfgang Wild
Postcard manufacturer Albert Bergeret set up his card printing company in 1898, and by 1900 he was producing more than 25 million cards a year. By 1903, output had tripled to 75 million. It is from this period that Bergeret released the 20 card set, “Women of the Future”, in 1902. Bergeret envisioned six of the 20 rôles for women of the future as military.
